Best Civil War Facial Hair?

I must have an obsession with facial hair because I am about to showcase it again on my blog.

The Smithsonian is allowing the public to vote on who had the best facial hair during the civil war. These men might not have had quite the competition as the men in the World Wildest Bears and Mustache contest, but I can't imagine they had a lot of time on their hands to groom their hair and style their mustaches into the next big thing.

My vote for the Smithsonian contest goes to J.E.B. Stuart. His facial hair is full, groomed, and good looking. And if I am not mistaken, he is in second place. I have pretty good taste I must say.  Who does your vote go to?

  1. My vote goes to Carter Littlepage Stevenson. I love that you can't tell when the hair stops and the beard begins. almost like he has really long hair that attacked his face and attached itself there :-)
